On October 4th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., ReprezentU was honored to attend MassQ Ball 2025: Color, a breathtaking celebration of Boston’s communities —an afternoon where art, culture, and humanity came together under the open sky.
This intergenerational, cross-cultural event, co-produced by artist Daniel Callahan and Castle of Our Skins, filled the Arnold Arboretum’s Conifer Collection with rhythm, color, and spirit. The day came alive through music, movement, sculpture, and spoken word, with artists, performers, and culture bearers sharing their stories in powerful, creative ways.
As we captured photographs throughout the event, we found ourselves immersed not just in the visuals but in the emotions—faces painted in expression, dances that told stories, and the energy of unity that flowed through the crowd. The MassQ art form, where faces are painted to reveal one’s inner state, reminded us of our own mission at ReprezentU: to help people express who they are and celebrate their individuality.
